Advisory Councils
| We appreciate the contributions that Advisory Councils make in supporting the sustainability of and collaboration between local STC member and candidate schools. Advisory Council Co-chairs and members are education entrepreneurs making a difference. |
What Advisory Councils Do?
- Recruit local member schools to insure the quality of
local networking and STC Roundtables
- Conduct STC Roundtables quarterly
- Encourage sharing of best practices and problem-solving
- Oversee the STC validation process and the timely onsite validation of candidate schools
- Seek new initiatives that demonstrate the value of collaboration to achieving goals that would be difficult for individual schools to realize on their own
- Implement STC alliance opportunities that can benefit
local member schools
- Export successful initiatives to other STC cities
|
What is a Roundtable?
| STC Roundtables are held quarterly in each STC city. The participants are STC member and candidate schools, Advisory Council members and guests. The purpose is to maintain a timely opportunity for STC schools to come together to network, to seek collaborative opportunities and approach local education obstacles as a group. |
How Can I Get Involved?
| STC seeks new members with a passion for education and a commitment to reducing the Achievement Gap and improving the quality of education nationwide. To learn more about how you can get involved, contact your local STC Advisory Council Co-chair or contact STC at info@schoolsthatcan.org. |
