Getting Involved!
Schools That Can (STC) offers the opportunity to get involved in making a difference in the lives of underserved children nationwide. STC is a network of high-performing schools that are islands of excellence within their communities. Their sustainability is essential to the communities they impact, and as stand-alone schools, they need our support. Get involved to ensure these schools continue to provide inspirational education to deserving children.
- Donate
STC welcomes any donation toward our cause. We have an account with PayPal to process your gift. You do not have to have a PayPal account to donate. PayPal will process all major credit cards. It's secure and safe. Thank You!
- Volunteer
Each school has varying needs, including tutoring, office assistance, fundraising committee members, supplies, etc.
STC also seeks volunteers with marketing and public relations experience to help create awareness of STC schools in their respective communities. This is an exciting opportunity for people who are looking to make a difference by creating awareness about the high-performing inner-city schools that exist in their own communities.

- Join an Advisory Council Your City
STC Advisory Councils are a force for change. Advisory Councils in each city provide local support for STC member schools' missions and their sustainability. This is done within a network that shares best practices and opportunities that result in the whole being bigger than the sum of its parts.
- Regional Advisory Council Initiatives
Advisory Councils are charged with making STC pertinent to its member schools at the local level. This will include, but not be limited to:
- Recruit local member schools to insure quality of local networking and roundtables
- Recruiting local member schools to ensure quality of local networking and roundtables
- Leading roundtable discussions at least three times a year, and inviting relevant visitors and speakers to the roundtables
- Encouraging the sharing of best practices and problem-solving between schools
- Implementing STC alliance opportunities with local member schools
- Assisting member schools in forming local and national partnerships
- Seeking new partnerships
- Exporting successful ideas and alliances to other member and non-member schools nationwide
- Financial Assistance

Each school struggles financially, and your donations are always appreciated. Whether your donation goes to scholarship assistance, supplies, or field trips, you can be assured that each STC member school serves low-income students in underserved communities, and has passed a rigorous Validation Assessment. This Assessment verifies that the school emphasizes high expectations and uses results-driven practices that lead to high-achieving students.
