Independence Charter School on NBC’s ‘Smash’ Make a Musical
Independence Charter School (ICS) in Philadelphia was chosen for NBC’s ‘SMASH’ MAKE A MUSICAL. Winners receive:
- A free Broadway Junior ShowKit that includes the rights to perform a musical
- Two master classes with iTheatrics’ New York based master teachers
- A local project advisor
- Two teacher stipends
- A technical theater fund
The ‘Make a Musical’ team has visited ICS twice to conduct master classes and shared their first impression of the school:
“The minute you walk through the door it is a feast for the eyes – bursting with brightly colored walls, projects everywhere and kids speaking a variety of languages. The staff is as unique as the building itself.”
