Great happenings going on in STC Milwaukee! The Journal Sentinel of Milwaukee-Wisconsin featured this STC network bringing awareness to the impactful collaboration creating growing success to schools.:
What if leaders set aside their differences and united to make an all-out effort to turn around a very low-performing school? What if organizations that often haven’t shared a table let down their guard and brought the best each has to offer to the pursuit of educational excellence where excellence has been effectively unknown?
It’s happening, and it is one of the most praiseworthy and significant developments on Milwaukee’s education landscape.
If it succeeds, there will be important lessons to learn. If it fails, unfortunately, there will be important lessons to learn. Either way, it’s long past time to find out what happens when really talented and well-intended people work hard together.
Which is to say it is a new day at Carver Academy, a Milwaukee Public Schools kindergarten through eighth-grade school at 1900 N. 1st St.
