A new NPR series examined the fiscal burden of dropping out. This is extremely compelling data to reform our schools, but most people reading this are probably already aware of this dire need to change education.

NPR shares the compelling information that demonstrates the urgency of reform, and it’s hard to realize that people still don’t believe there is a crisis. However, the biggest hurdle is helping those who know there is a crisis understand that it is possible to achieve reform. A prevailing attitude assumes that children in poverty cannot learn, and it’s a disheartening one. However, our schools are proving these critics wrong. We’ve assembled a new metrics team to track the results of our schools over time and will be proudly sharing their accomplishments with the world soon.
