STC’s programming helps schools to connect with each other, share innovative and effective practices, and build solutions to advance improvement.
STC’s Keys to Quality | Our Keys to Quality – 7 areas of evidence-based practices – were informed from observations in schools and validated by a survey of research conducted by focus groups. Though much of STC’s work focuses on Real-World Learning for the 21st Century, which was identified as a crucial need for our schools, we continue to connect schools to resources, practices, and each other to advance practices across the Keys.
Professional Learning Groups | Cohorts of educators and leaders from schools meet regularly to promote innovation and drive continuous improvement for their students. Using evidence-based frameworks (improvement science, design thinking, or Deeper Learning), STC facilitates learning across PLGs and supports schools’ individual improvement projects.
Roundtables | Peer-led workshops where participants learn effective practices and develop new skills.
Study Tours | School inter-visitations that bring educators into classrooms to see effective practices in action.
Professional Learning Groups | cross-sector and cross-school professional learning communities that meet regularly over a semester or year, enabling educators to work together to prototype solutions to common challenges.
