Project Description
Ariel Pierce
Program Facilitator, NYC
Ariel Pierce has been in education for about 6 years. She was born and raised in the Bronx and has a passion to teach students in inner city schools. She graduated from the University of New Haven with a Bachelors in History Education and a minor in Black Studies. Then Ariel went on to graduate from the University of Bridgeport with a Masters in Elementary Education and a Teaching Certificate. During the pandemic, she had her first child which motivated her to take a break from the classroom and be a mom. She missed interacting with students and made the transition to work with Schools That Can as a Bronx Facilitator. Ariel is very excited to help young students to make the transition into adulthood.
