Josiah Johnson is the new Manager of School Programs for STC Newark. Josiah comes to STC Newark from St. Benedict’s Prep where, for nearly five years, he has worked in the information technology team. His work there included designing and teaching K-6 technology classes that he based in design thinking and project-based learning approaches, with the ultimate goal of helping students develop computational thinking skills. Josiah has worked with multiple community and education nonprofits in program management roles and volunteers in Newark with various coding and education programs. Josiah is an alumnus of a STC network school (St. Benedict’s), a 2006 National Horatio Alger Scholar (STC is a strategic partner of Horatio Alger), and is an alumnus of Morehouse College where he studied international relations and completed study abroad in Kenya and South Africa. We are extremely excited to have him join us as Manager of School Programs to lead all of our K-8 initiatives and the Victoria Foundation Public School Grants program.
