STC Pittsburgh Middle Schools Take on Design Challenge

For this year’s Design Challenge, students at 5 Pittsburgh middle schools took on a task that required imagination and creative problem-solving: Students imagined they’d been hired to create a robot that teaches younger students about AI or robotics. They worked together in teams to brainstorm what their robot would look like, and how it would help learners understand ideas like sensors, patterns, or how computers make decisions. It was an incredible day of learning and collaborating! Huge thanks to our Design Challenge client, Dr. Jordan Mroziak of Codejoy, and our participating schools, Manchester Academic Charter School, Northgate Middle School, Clairton Middle School, Duquesne Middle School, and Dickson STEAM Academy. We're also grateful for the support of MACS CEO, Vasilios Scoumis.
