As AI reshapes the workforce, we build the durable, human skills and local partnerships that help students contribute to and benefit from the next wave of economic opportunity.

STC’s career readiness curriculum can be customized to meet a school’s needs. Schools can choose all units in our award-winning curriculum, or mix and match specific units. We provide all curriculum, resources, and professional volunteer connections.

STC delivers career-connected learning aligned with CTE pathways, helping students meet graduation requirements as they build skills and explore career options.

STC’s trained facilitators lead lessons in the classroom, working with teachers to ensure units are meeting student needs.

STC’s approach is culturally relevant, and builds students’ skills and confidence through hands-on opportunities, including micro-internships, mock interviews, and other adult-facing experiences for real-world guidance.
Our Work
Education-to-Employment (e2e) Curriculum
Weekly, school-embedded career readiness lessons for grades 8–12 covering career exploration, financial literacy, resume and interview skills, workplace professionalism, and the changing world of work. Students build portfolios, practice networking, and develop the communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Design Challenge
Employer-sourced, real-world problems students solve in teams. Local businesses and industry professionals provide authentic project briefs, mentor student teams, and evaluate final presentations, giving students hands-on experience and direct employer visibility.
Students That Connect Symposium
An annual, city-wide event where students engage in hands-on challenges, hear from industry panels, participate in networking activities, and showcase their skills to employers, educators, and community leaders. Recent themes include Exploring AI and Future-Proof Me!
Micro-Internships
Short-term, project-based work experiences with local employers that give students a taste of different industries, build professional skills, and create pathways to longer internships, apprenticeships, and job opportunities.
Thought Leadership
From 2005 to 2020, STC facilitated annual Forums in different cities. Since then, STC launched virtual Study Groups, bringing together cohorts of K-12 school leaders, university provosts, and thought leaders for timely discussion on challenges and solutions impacting education. STC hosted Ed Chats, free, virtual events including conversations as Education in the Age of AI, Education Equity and the COVID-19 Pandemic, How Career Readiness Changes High School Culture, and more.
