Project Description

Ann Szekely

Director of School Programs, Chicago

Ann spent eighteen years as a high school teacher in Milwaukee, Los Angeles, and Chicago, where she taught in public, faith-based, and charter schools. During that time, she served in leadership roles like Department Chair, Program Coordinator, and Instructional Leader. After getting her Masters in Education Policy from DePaul University, Ann did collaborative research at University of Chicago and helped facilitate research and professional development with Chicago Public School teachers, focusing on non-cognitive factors in the classroom, with a lens on the transition from middle school to high school.
