Chicago

STC Chicago is a cross-sector network of nearly 40 district, charter, and independent schools committed to closing the opportunity and skills gap for Chicago’s children.

What We Do

STC Chicago offers programs that build an education to employment pathway. STC Chicago is on a mission to  ensure that students gain the 21st century skills and strategies that will give them access to the opportunities they need for their future. Our work is about equity, access, and pouring into the next generation.

High School Exploration

STC Chicago runs a High School Transition working group and an annual High School Exploration event. The event, which reaches hundreds of students annually, helps middle schoolers and their families navigate the difficult high school application process. Additionally, the working group, which includes middle school teachers and counselors and community based organizations, meets throughout the year to share resources and create new tools to better facilitate the transition from middle to high school for students.
