Michael Druckman

Executive Chair

Michael brings a successful business career perspective to his deep involvement in urban education. He serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and is the architect of Schools That Can that launched in 2006. He led the direction for STC’s vision to re-imagine urban education through real-world learning and STC’s growth becoming the largest cross-sector network of urban schools serving low-income communities nationwide. He is dedicated to re-imagine education by reinvigorating the education to employment pipeline. Michael has extensive experience in non-profit, business, academics and urban education. He served as Board Chairman of the Trey Whitfield School in East New York, Brooklyn for over a decade. Michael serves on the Board of Regents at Da Vinci Schools in Los Angeles and is the Co-Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Center for Global Affairs at NYU. Michael resides in New York City with his wife, Nancy.
